First Live Interview: Women Empower Active (5:00pm MST)

October 1, 2014

First Live Interview: Wednesday October 1st at 5:00pm MST| 7:00pm EST| 4:00pm PST – Topic: Transitioning from Collegiate Running to Civilian life, with UR Tribe Member Kara Graci

Some of you may have noticed that we have begun Women Empower Active. It is an interactive monthly interview, where we talk to relatable women about the challenges they go through everyday on their active adventure. Our purpose is to inspire and empower women to get active.

Basically it is a LIVE interview on UR’s YouTube channel. It is just like watching a video on any YouTube channel except it is actually happening while you watch. The cool thing is that you can also be part of the interview by using the Twitter platform. To interject statements or questions just use the hashtag #strongwomen and @ursportswear on twitter while watching. Basically (if you don’t already know this) if you are on Twitter and you use a hashtag it will categorize what everyone is saying about that certain hashtag and then you can follow along with the conversation. You can see this by just clicking on the hashtag while on Twitter. You could also use things like:

TweetChat – Looks pretty easy to use and efficient!
TweetDeck – I have used this and liked it!
Hootsuite – Have used this, but not for chats.

Janet Fouts also has a good article about Twitter Chats check out: Here
For those of you who don’t know what Twitter is check out: Here & Sign up: Here

For our purposes following along on Twitter using the #strongwomen would be useful so you can see the interesting and inspiring comments people are leaving! Jacalyn will be monitoring Twitter for Amy Moritz the interviewer and then forwarding along questions or statements to her to read on air. These questions/statements will be added in at the end of the interview.
